Beach Day!
We take an early morning walk along the beach collecting agates, beach glass and interesting rocks.
Sean and Anna bring their treasures back, wash them and arrange them and lay them out for sale. Brokaw and I buy some pretty ones! Lots to choose from.
Then, it's time to fly kites. Anna has chosen a bright butterfly kite that soars up into the sky. Sean has chosen a shark kite that hovers menacingly.
Anna invites me to tea. She sets out chairs, a "table", (the cooler), ice water for me, milk for her, and snacks. Then she beats me at "Go Fish" and "Crazy Eights". Nana heaven.
Sean and Nana take a long walk to the end of the beach. High tide is just turning so there's not too much to find, but Sean has an eagle eye for agates and collects a few more. When we return Anna is beating Brokaw at cards.
Great day of doing nothing much, but enjoying every minute.
